Eerste helft 20e eeuw (ca. 1920–1940)
Dit driedelige, vouwbare vonkenscherm is uitgevoerd in zwartgelakt metaal met fijn metalen gaas. De ingetogen messing belijning, het functionele maar elegante ontwerp en de handmatige verbindingen zijn kenmerkend voor Engelse haardaccessoires uit het interbellum. Dit type werd veel toegepast in statige landhuizen en herenhuizen met open haarden.
Tijdloze Engelse elegantie voor de open haard
Dit authentieke Engelse vonkenscherm ademt de sfeer van een klassiek landhuis waar haardvuur en comfort samenkomen. Het scherm bestaat uit drie scharnierende panelen met fijnmazig metaalgaas, gevat in een slank zwart metalen frame met een fraai gebogen voorpaneel – zowel functioneel als decoratief.
Oorspronkelijk ontworpen om vonken discreet tegen te houden, is dit scherm vandaag de dag ook een stijlvol statement bij een open haard of schouw. De sobere vormgeving en ingetogen patina maken het perfect passend binnen een traditioneel Engels interieur, maar ook verrassend mooi in een eclectische of landelijke setting.
Een charmant en karaktervol object dat warmte, historie en Britse verfijning uitstraalt.
