dit is een antieke eenden pers, ook wel presse canard genoemd. 
Dit culinaire werktuig wordt gebruikt om sappen uit gebraden eenden karkassen of schaaldieren te persen voor het maken van sauzen. 
De pers werd in de 19e eeuw in Frankrijk uitgevonden door een chef-kok genaamd Mechenet. 
Het is een artikel met een grote culinaire traditie en kan zowel in de keuken als aan tafel worden gebruikt. 
Het werd populair in het restaurant La Tour d'Argent, waar het kenmerkende gerecht Caneton de Rouen à la Presse (eend in bloedsaus) aan tafel voor de gasten werd bereid. 
De geperste sappen, waaronder bloed en beenmerg, zorgen voor een uniek rijke en aardse umami-smaak in de saus. 
de pers is in goede staat maar wel zwaar gebruikt in de jaren dat hij functioneel is geweest
