Bamileke Kralenhoofden uit Kameroen.

De Bamileke zijn de grootste bevolkingsgroep in Kameroen. Ze leven voornamelijk in de westelijke regio. Ze staan bekend om hun kunstwerken die rijkelijk versierd zijn met kleine gekleurde kralen.

De glazen kralen worden gebruikt voor rituele en religieuze doeleinden, maar ook als teken van rijkdom en prestige. De waarde van een object wordt mede bepaald door de complexiteit van de decoratie. Deze versierde kunstobjecten zijn vaak bestemd voor vooraanstaande personen in de gemeenschap, zoals de koninklijke familie.

De kralenhoofden werden traditioneel gezien gebruikt bij verschillende religieuze ceremonies als offer of dankbetuiging en bij initiatierituelen, kroningsceremonies en begrafenisceremonies als statussymbool. Soms gebruikt men ze als beschermende amuletten. De hoofden zouden spirituele kracht bevatten die ziekte en negativiteit op afstand houdt. 

Deze hoofden zijn gemaakt van terracotta en bedekt met glaskraaltjes.
