Nelle sue opere si avverte il desiderio di spaziare verso l'infinito sino al sovrasensibile.
In questo dipinto, materico evanescente appare coerente la differenza fra il colore Nero e il colore bianco addolcito da alcuni tratti di colore grigio chiaro e contrastanti che caratterizzano la differenza tra lo scuro ed il chiaro ma che miscelati insieme ricordano il " Fumo di Londra", tonalità spesso ricercata nella moda.
L'opera è stata fotografata con differenti punti luce come pure per poter esaminare e comprendere meglio il dipinto. inltre pò essere interpreteto amche capovolto o diversamente come può piacere a chi lo guarda.

Paolo Contin ha una lunga carriera artistica. Si forma nel mondo del design e dal 1980 lavora nel campo della moda e dell'arte. Dal 1999 comincia ad esporre le sue opere; nel 2002 la sua prima personale a Padova, alla quale seguono molte mostre in Italia e all’estero, tra le quali a Copenaghen, Monaco, Parigi, Bruxelles, Istanbul, Buenos Aires e Sidney.
