Exceptional pair of 4-light Art Nouveau candelabra from the prestigious Gallia line by Christofle, model “Nénuphar” (Water Lily).
A highly sculptural design emblematic of early French Art Nouveau, with flowing vegetal stems and organically balanced branches.

Documented Model – Museum & Archival Relevance

The Nénuphar model appears in Christofle’s early 20th-century catalogues and has been featured in curated presentations of Art Nouveau metalwork.
In 2024–2025, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris is hosting the major exhibition
“Christofle, a brilliant story” (14 Nov 2024 – 20 Apr 2025),
highlighting the Maison’s design milestones and craftsmanship.
This context underscores the historical importance and renewed market interest in early Christofle and Gallia creations such as the Nénuphar candelabra.

Hallmarks:
-Each candelabrum carries the full Gallia hallmark suite:
-Goat’s head (Tête de bouc) – Gallia trademark
-Rooster (Coq) – French guarantee mark for plated metal after 1890
-Model number and manufacturer’s stamps consistent with documented Gallia production

A pair of 4-light Gallia candelabra in the Nénuphar model is scarce. Strong collector demand exists for early Christofle sculptural works, particularly those tied to iconic Art Nouveau forms.
