Specchio Luigi XVI in legno dorato – Francia – fine XVIII / inizi XIX secolo

Elegante specchio ovale in legno intagliato e dorato, realizzato in stile Luigi XVI, Francia, fine XVIII secolo / inizi XIX secolo (circa 1780–1830)

La cornice è finemente scolpita con il tipico fiocco neoclassico nella parte superiore, dal quale scendono ghirlande di alloro che incorniciano l’ovale centrale. La parte inferiore è decorata con un ulteriore motivo vegetale intagliato che completa armoniosamente la composizione.

La doratura è originale a foglia con bolo rosso visibile in alcuni punti, caratteristica tipica delle dorature d’epoca. La superficie presenta una bella patina antica, che conferisce grande fascino e autenticità all’oggetto.

Lo specchio conserva struttura, vetro e pannello posteriore antichi, con fissaggi e chiodature coerenti con la produzione tra fine XVIII e inizi XIX secolo.

Questo tipo di specchio era spesso utilizzato come specchio decorativo da parete o sopra consolle, ed è oggi molto apprezzato anche negli interni contemporanei.

Condizioni

Lo specchio si presenta in buone condizioni generali considerando l’età , con segni del tempo coerenti con un oggetto antico , visibili nelle fotografie, che fanno parte integrante della descrizione.
