Calice impérial en argent massif, Maison C. Detouche, Second Empire (Napoléon III) 

Rare et précieux calice de voyage en argent massif, présenté dans son écrin d’origine en cuir vert à monogramme impérial doré (N couronné). 
 
Calice, entièrement gravé de motifs guillochés à pois, est orné d’un cartouche rocaille contenant le monogramme impérial « N » sous couronne impériale, emblème officiel de Napoléon III.

L’intérieur du calice est vermeillé, conformément à l’usage liturgique, et l’ensemble est conservé dans un écrin vert doublé de satin vert impérial, frappé à l’or du nom du fournisseur officiel :“C. Detouche, Fournisseur de S. M. l’Empereur, Paris
 
Identification des poinçons : 
Le calice porte deux poinçons identifiables :
1.Poinçon Minerve 1er titre (tête de femme de profil casquée) 
Garantie de l’argent massif à 950/1000, utilisé en France à partir de 1838. 
2.Poinçon de maître-orfèvre : C Detouche
Jean-Baptiste-Claude Biennais, puis son atelier poursuivi sous Napoléon III. 
Fournisseur de l’Empereur, célèbre pour avoir exécuté de nombreuses pièces pour Napoléon Ier et ses successeurs. Époque : Vers 1855–1870 (Second Empire)
	
Origine : Paris, Maison Biennais
Matière : Argent massif (950), intérieur vermeil
Écrin d’origine : Cuir vert gaufré or, intérieur satin vert impérial
 
Dimensions:  Hauteur : 13,5 cm x 8 cm x 8 cm
 
Probablement destiné à un aumônier impérial, un officier clérical ou pour les voyages d’un membre de la Maison de l’Empereur Napoléon III.
 
État :
 
Excellent état de conservation. Gravure nette, vermeil très bien conservé, écrin d’origine complet et fonctionnel, quelques frottements d’usage.
