Exceptionnelle carafe à liqueur en forme de trompette, en verre transparent gravé, d’époque Art Nouveau - années 1900.
Monture à quatre pieds, décor ajouré en relief de rubans et fleurs avec, au centre des deux faces, des lignes fluides avec rinceaux inspirés de la nature et un profil de nymphe d’Alphonse Mucha ornée de cheveux flottants et d'une fleur de coquelicot.
Monture de l'embouchure avec large bec verseur surélevé en forme de langue, décorée de motifs floraux et d'ornements en forme de ruban, bouchon bombé avec pommeau ovoïde, pressé des deux côtés de motifs floraux. Longue poignée courbe ajourée.
Fabriqué par WMF AG Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik Geislingen Allemagne pour les grands restaurants, les navires de croisière, etc.
Poinçon : B, marque de l'autruche WMF, I/O
"B" : alliage contenant de l'étain, appelé métal Britannia.
« I/O » indique une épaisseur normale d'argent déposé à la surface du métal soit environ 1 gramme d'argent pour 1 dm² de surface.
L'inscription à deux lettres « a/s » indique un assombrissement artificiel de la surface vers une couleur presque noire, appelée « argent antique ».
