Dit is een van de beroemdste 17e-eeuwse kaarten van het continent Azië. Het is omgeven door een prachtige carte-a-figurenrand en is rijkelijk versierd met dieren, zeemonsters en zeilschepen. De oostelijke kustlijn van Azië is ernstig afgekapt, Korea wordt weergegeven als een eiland en Japan wordt afgebeeld op het Ortelius-Teixeira-model. Het Indiase subcontinent is te smal en de eilanden van Indonesië zijn erg schetsmatig. Een groot eiland met het label Ceiram vertegenwoordigt waarschijnlijk het westelijke deel van Nieuw-Guinea. In het binnenland is de Kaspische Zee georiënteerd op een oost-west-as en zijn er verschillende grote verkeerde meren in China, waaronder de mythische Chiamay Lacus. De fries aan de bovenkant bevat vignetten van de steden Candy, Calecut, Goa, Damascus, Jeruzalem, Hormuz, Banten, Aden en Macao. De opname van Banten weerspiegelt de opkomst van de Nederlanders als een grote handelsmacht in Oost-Indië. De zijpanelen die de kaart flankeren, tonen gekostumeerde figuren van de verschillende Aziatische volkeren. Dit is een latere editie met bewijs van een scheur in de koperplaat onderaan in het midden.
