Ancien masque du N'tomo Bambara (Mali).
Masque à 4 cornes (cassées)
Surmonté généralement de trois à huit cornes formant un peigne, le masque facial du N’tomo renvoie à un moment de l’enseignement obligatoire dispensé aux jeunes garçons non circoncis dans certaines sociétés d’Afrique de l’ouest. La bouche discrète voire absente du masque insiste sur le comportement attendu dans leur future vie d’adulte à l’issue de la formation : contrôler et mesurer ses paroles, savoir se taire, préserver les secrets et supporter la douleur en silence.
Le masque facial en bois appartenait au genre masculin lorsqu’il arborait trois ou six cornes, au féminin avec un peigne de quatre ou huit cornes; deux, cinq ou sept cornes permettaient d’identifier les masques androgynes. 
Ce masque est fourni avec un socle sur-mesure.
