This rug was exported from Iran before January 01, 2015!

These carpets are made in the holy city of Ghom in central Persia. The material of the rugs is silk, which makes them thin and dense. The carpets are worked very carefully and in some cases worked out in great detail. This type of rug is an example of the excellent tradition of silk weaving and is one of the best rugs to be rebuilt.
An exclusive carpet is characterized by extraordinary wealth of details and is made in the studio by experienced, professional knots. The material used is of the highest quality; the knot density reaches at least 600,000 knots per square meter.
Such a hand-knotted carpet requires unbelievably many hours of work with a high mental concentration of the knotter
This type of carpet is considered to be extremely exclusive and has been adorning royal palaces and castles all over the world for centuries. It enhances the elegance and luxury of its surroundings.
