Ancient Roman Bronze Bird-shaped Terminal
Circa 100-300 AD
This bronze fitting represents a stylized bird with an elongated neck, a prominent beak, and an upraised tail with a notched edge. Instead of legs, a cylindrical articulated pin extends downward, suggesting its function as an attachment element.
Dimensions: 6.5 cm x 3 cm x 1 cm
Provenance: Private European Collection; formerly acquired from old UK and European collection formed since the 1970s.
