Twee fibula’s, waarvan een Romeinse ogenfibula 

Fraai groen natuurlijk gepatineerde ‘ogenfibula’ en een draadfibula. (gewicht 40,1 gram). Deze ogenfibula is rond 1986 in de buurt van de Waal in Nederland in de klei gevonden. De hier getoonde ogenfibula is van hetzelfde type als die in de verzameling van Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. In tegenstelling tot het exemplaar van het RMO is deze compleet en niet gerestaureerd. De kleine draadfibula heeft een rivierpatina en komt via slibdepots rond 1986 uit de Rijn/Waal in Nederland. 

Info RMO: Bronzen gesloten ogenfibula, Haalebos type Ac. Fraaie, grote fibula met parellijst op beugel en dubbele ingekraste V op de voet. De 2-ledige beugel is getand. Verspreiding: Rijn- en Donauprovincie's.
Een ogenfibula is een type mantelspeld uit de vroege Romeinse tijd (ca. 27 v.Chr. – 75 n.Chr. Deze bronzen broches werden in de Romeinse tijd gebruikt om kleding zoals mantels vast te maken. 

Ontwerp: Ogenfibulae behoren tot de boogfibulae, een type dat in de Romeinse tijd veel voorkwam. 
Ze zijn een populair studieobject binnen de archeologie en worden vaak aangetroffen bij opgravingen in Nederland, zoals in de regio van het Rijk van Nijmegen.
