Storia: Giovanni Gerbi, un noto ciclista, intuì il potenziale commerciale della sua popolarità e divenne costruttore delle proprie biciclette.
L'azienda "Gerbi Giovanni di Giuseppe" si occupava della fabbricazione e del commercio di cicli, con un'attività registrata presso la Camera di Commercio di Asti dal 1925.
Gerbi fu un pioniere del marketing, offrendo ad esempio un libretto intitolato "Gerbi e le sue avventure" in omaggio a chi acquistava una bicicletta della sua marca.
