Original woodblock print, hand-signed and numbered 21/52 A.P. by the artist - Paper - Nishida Tadashige 西田忠重 (b 1942) - Looking Back - Blue Cat - Japan - 2018

First published in 2018. With numbered editions it is usually not exactly known when each print was printed as they are all dated with the year of the printing of the very first print from the series. In this case some of the A.P. are dated 2022 however, as is the current print, so it can be dated to 2022 exactly. 

The measurements of the image itself (excluding the margins) are 32.0 x 22.0 cm.

Nishida Tadashige (b. 1942) is a contemporary woodblock artist. The works of Nishida Tadashige are well made and have a high technical level - usually with luxury features like the background made with gold or silver pigments. Tadashige Nishida's woodblock prints come as limited editions of usually 100 or more copies, numbered, dated and signed by the artist. He is especially known for his prints of cats.

The woodblock print is in excellent condition
