Exemplaire exceptionnellement signé en page de garde par Franco Fontana (introuvable en exemplaire signé). Edition originale reliée.252 pages et environ 400 photographies en couleur dont près d’une centaine en pleine page, le tout dans une mise en page fluide et élégante. Edition Art& d’une très grande qualité, reliure d’éditeur avec jaquette à larges rabats titrée sur un motif photographique. Présentation en italien de Christian Caujolle. solide reliure cartonnée noire imitation toile et jaquette iilustrée. Exemplaire en excellent état.

Franco Fontana né en 1933 à Modane s’initie à la photographie dès le début des années 1960 et s’est très vite intéressé à la photographie de paysage. Par une extrême simplicité des formes il compose des paysages abstraits qui réunissent deux ou trois zones de couleurs. Il s’intéressera également au paysage urbain en isolant des éléments essentiels en recherchant l’harmonie des formes et des couleurs. L’humain apparait ensuite dans ces compositions urbaines sous la forme d’ombres ou de silhouettes. Des fragments du corps féminin, dos ou corps immergés dans une eau bleu aux reflets déformants apparaissent également dans la dernière série « Piscine » mais la recherche de la couleur  reste fondamentale. Il s’avère cependant que la couleur n’existe pas en elle-même puisqu’elle est un effet de la lumière sur la matière comme le montre ces séries de photographies juxtaposées prise en différentes saisons au même endroit avec le même cadrage.

Livre de ma collection personnelle, en excellent état  avec très légère insolation de la jaquette, ex-dono en page initiale sous la signature,  livre  conservé avec le plus grand soin.
