BIOGRAFÍA DEL ARTISTA:

El pintor catalán afincado en Godella Alfonso Ortuño (Barcelona, 1925 - Godella 2011) que perfeccionó su técnica en el Círculo de Bellas Artes, viajó a Valencia a los diez años y empezó a pintar desde muy joven.

Ortuño fue contemporáneo de pintores como Bronchú de Godella, Mir, Segrelles o Berenguer y perteneció a una generación de artistas que se iniciaron en el impresionismo y evolucionaron en un estilo propio.

La obra de Alfonso Ortuño, aunque tuvo una etapa más gris, en su madurez tuvo al color como gran protagonista. La espátula fue su pincel en multitud de sus obras, en sus paisajes, sus escenas de lluvia, marinas, retratos, o bodegones y pintó escenas del Mediterráneo inspiradas en sus sentimientos.
