Ogni cofanetto contiene 4 monete in argento coniate in occasione delle Olimpiadi di Montréal del 1976. Nelle monete sono mostrate immagini dedicate allo sport moderno ed antico, con ulteriore riferimento agli indiani nativi del Canada e agli stadi che hanno ospitato la manifestazione.
Molti numismatici canadesi affermano che questa è la prima vera collezione numismatica del Canada.
Si trattava di un programma molto ambizioso iniziato nel febbraio 1973. Per volere del governo federale fu concordato che le monete avrebbero aiutato a finanziare ed anche a commemorare le olimpiadi estive del 1976.
