In 1916 nam Imandt ontslag uit de koloniale dienst; tot zijn pensionering in 1929, op 47-jarige leeftijd, was hij werkzaam als hoofdonderwijzer en tekenleraar binnen het katholiek onderwijs in Nederlands-Indië. Bij zijn terugkeer naar Europa in 1929 organiseerde kunsthandel Bos een groots opgezette solotentoonstelling die vier maanden duurde en waarin veel werk werd verkocht. Imandt vestigde zich vervolgens met zijn gezin in Sint-Gillis-Waas, op korte afstand van zijn geboorteplaats in België, waar hij een ruim huis met atelier betrok dat hij Insulinde noemde. Hij keerde als een welgesteld man terug uit Nederlands-Indië, waar hij was uitgegroeid tot een van de bekendste westerse schilders. In 1954 kreeg Imandt op 72-jarige leeftijd een overzichtstentoonstelling in de zalen van Hoogovens.

Unique Objects

This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference.
