Originele heliogravure op dik kwalteitspapier met handtekening in de plaat. Deze reproductie van Egon Schiele werd in 1950 gedrukt door de Staatsdrukkerij van Oostenrijk. Deze reproductie werd nooit ingelijst en is goed bewaard. 

Deze reproducties zijn moeilijk terug te vinden omdat ze zich bevinden bij officiële instanties of in private collecties. Exemplaren uit dezelfde reeks zijn in het verleden op Catawiki verkocht voor meer dan 1500 euro.

Egon Schiele (12 juni 1890 - 31 oktober 1918) was een Oostenrijkse schilder. Schiele was een protegé van Gustav Klimt en een belangrijke figuratieve schilder van de vroege 20e eeuw. Zijn werk staat bekend om zijn intensiteit en zijn ruwe seksualiteit en de vele zelfportretten die de kunstenaar maakte. De gedraaide lichaamsvormen en de expressieve lijn die de werken van Schiele kenmerken, markeren de kunstenaar als een vroege exponent van het expressionisme.

Het drukproces is van de hoogste kwaliteit en is nagenoeg vergelijkbaar met het origineel. Vandaag zijn er nog slechts 3 drukkerijen in de hele wereld die dit toepassen. Het kleurenbeeld wordt opgesplitst - van licht naar donker - in maximaal 25 kleuren en vervolgens in evenveel printcycli op elkaar afgedrukt. Deze techniek werd voornamelijk gebruikt in kleine edities.
