This watch features a rare glossy black gilt dial with applied dagger indexes, a configuration highly sought after by collectors. The dial remains beautifully preserved with sharp printing and excellent overall integrity, showcasing the classic mid-century Rolex aesthetic. The combination of the deep black dial, warm gilt text and elegant dagger markers creates a striking and highly desirable vintage look.

The watch is housed in the classic 36mm Oyster case with the original yellow gold fluted bezel, retaining strong proportions and crisp lines. The acrylic crystal with cyclops magnifier perfectly frames the date window at 3 o’clock.

Inside beats the reliable Rolex automatic calibre 1065, freshly serviced and running well. This movement represents Rolex’s early generation of robust chronometer-grade automatic calibres that powered the first Datejust models.

Fitted on a quality leather strap with Rolex-signed buckle, the watch wears beautifully and highlights its elegant vintage character.
