Antiek glazen hartvormig juwelendoosje – Frankrijk, eind 19e – begin 20e eeuw

Dit bijzondere doosje is vervaardigd uit blauw glas met witte filigrain draden in een spiraalvormig patroon, geblazen volgens de klassieke Venetiaanse/Murano-techniek. De hartvorm is voorzien van een metalen montuur met scharnier, waarin een decoratief sluitmechanisme in de vorm van een vlinder is aangebracht. Het object diende als klein juwelendoosje (trinket box) voor het bewaren van sieraden zoals ringen of oorbellen.
