Murphy - EU102 Tube radio

This rare, sleek, and understated English radio was fully restored to a device suitable for daily use.
Cabinet and knobs deeply cleaned and protected with clear high-gloss paint.
Light streaks and other discolorations in the photos are reflections; the cabinet is completely deep black.
Given the poor condition of the original electronics and the expected subpar performance, it was replaced by a 5-watt tube amplifier, driven by either:
A solid state tuner with very good reception on FM (87.5-108 MHz) with a whip antenna and moderate to good reception on medium wave with an integrated ferrite antenna.
A Bluetooth receiver (not for HiFi).
Outside the chassis, the speaker and the output transformer are almost all new.
Since the device is powered directly from the mains (220-240VAC), there are no external inputs or outputs.
Simple tone control (at the back) added.
Replace scale lighting with an LED-E10-240VAC.
Tubes: UY82-UL84-UCC85 (all new).
