Description from the seller
My name is Galya Bukova (Gala), and I am a visual and textile artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Art and Design. I have been painting for as long as I can remember – painting is my way of articulating the world, contemplating life and interpreting it from my own perspective, often engaging with deeper philosophical questions. Over the years, my work has found its place in private collections across the globe, and I have taken part in numerous exhibitions that have helped me refine and continuously question my artistic language.
My art is bold, emotional and intuitive. I am drawn to strong contrasts, vivid colours and expressive textures that suggest movement and depth. Each piece carries a hidden narrative – a fragment of an inner world, a memory, or a subtle reflection on the human condition. I do not simply aim to depict reality, but to transform it, to charge it with energy and meaning so that the viewer feels invited to look beneath the surface.
What I strive to offer through my work is positive energy and a sense of optimism, even when the subject touches on more complex or ambiguous emotions. I believe that art can be both honest and uplifting: it can acknowledge struggle, yet still point towards hope. In this way, every painting becomes a quiet conversation between my inner world and the viewer – a space where colour, texture and emotion meet.
