Description from the seller
Rolex full set GMT Master 6542 consisting of:
1 - Stopwatch Certificate code: RP. 1211. ii 61 - 3m
4-page GMT - MASTER booklet from November 1958, coeval until 1961, the year of the new model 1575 release, code: RC. 232. XI 58. 5000
3 - Vintage plastic watch case from the same period.
Red tag without a round hologram contemporaneous with the period.
5 - Rectangular-shaped green badge with a protruding crown, coeval for the period.
6 - Green leather box of pyramidal shape - NO CODE - very rare, one of the first made by Rolex towards the late 1950s and early 1960s, with wooden interiors both at the top and bottom, and visible brass hinges, larger in size than later models.
In any case, it is contemporaneous for all watches from the late 1950s to the late 1960s, definitely for all models with a four-digit reference number, knowing that Rolex only began including the code on boxes in 1970/71.
It's a box that is about 65 years old, hard to find in this condition.
The hinges work perfectly, even after 65 years of presumed life.
In summary, the box is beautiful and in good condition for use, as can be seen from the photos that are an integral part of the description.
The watch is original and in excellent condition.
The shipment will be tracked and insured.
