Description from the seller

Magnificent white coral! Acropora! Very rare because it comes from a private collection assembled at the beginning of the century!

Natural white coral on a base of noble wood – Beautiful decorative piece – Height approx. 16 cm

Beautiful specimen of natural white coral mounted on a turned noble wood base.
The structure is delicate, branched, and symmetrical, typical of Acropora-type corals.
This type of item was commonly used as a high-end decorative object or as a curiosity in old cabinets.

Antique item from a private collection.
Sale compliant with CITES regulations: this coral is a vintage piece, acquired before 2010, and does not originate from a recent collection.

Proposed by DTD Shop Design Trend Dazzle, a boutique specializing in curious, rare, and valuable objects.

In coral reefs, white coral plays a crucial role by providing a vital habitat for many marine species. Small fish find a secure shelter among its folds and crevices, while invertebrates cling to its surfaces to protect themselves from predators. This interconnection between different forms of underwater life creates an ecological balance essential to the health of the reefs.

Beyond its ecological importance, white coral enchants divers and snorkeling enthusiasts with its striking beauty. When illuminated by sunlight, its shades of white seem to glow with a pure light, illuminating the seabed and creating breathtaking underwater landscapes. Its pristine appearance contrasts beautifully with the vibrant colors of other corals and tropical fish, creating a scene of great visual richness.
