Günther Förg, (1952-2013), Architecture II, 2 prints, 1993.

2 silver gelatin prints on baryta paper, each 96 x 69 cm, sheet size, signed and dated on the back. Outside of the edition.

Provenance: Achenbach Art Edition, Düsseldorf

Each side signed and dated.

Condition: On all the left edges of the five prints, the sheets are warped and partially discolored due to water damage. Due to their poor condition, the sheets are offered from this rare but series without a minimum price. The sheets can be restored according to an assessment by a photography restorer.


Biography
Günther Förg was born in 1952 in Füssen. He studied until 1979 with Karl Fred Dahmen at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. His artistic work in painting, printmaking, sculpture, and photography is characterized by his engagement with architecture. Förg participated in Documenta IX in Kassel in 1992 and held a professorship at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts from 1999. The artist died in 2013 in Freiburg im Breisgau.
