McIntosh - MCD7009 CD player

For sale is a McIntosh MCD7009, manufactured in July 1996, a true collector's item and audiophile highlight. The device comes from my grandfather's estate. Honestly, this was the last thing I ever wanted to sell – it holds special emotional value for our family. However, for personal reasons, I now have to part with it, albeit with a heavy heart.

Aesthetic
The CD player is in absolutely excellent condition visually. It has been stored its entire life in a hermetically sealed glass display case to prevent dust from entering. No one in the family was ever allowed to touch it. The front, the glass, and all controls look as if they just came from the store.

Technical
The sound of this device is legendary and was flawless until recently.
Two days ago, I wanted to listen to music again. When pressing the OPEN button, you can clearly hear the motors start, but the CD tray no longer opens. Most likely, the drive belt has broken or become slack due to age. According to the internet, a replacement belt costs less than €15.
Since I have no electronic knowledge and, due to certain personal issues, cannot repair it myself, I have not attempted any repair.
