Roman antique bronze statuette titled Statuette, depicting the god Atlas, dating to the 1st century A.D., measuring 69 × 47 × 47 mm, in excellent condition, provenance from a private Belgian collection (previous owner acquired 1990; acquired in 2021 from Belgium).

Beautiful bronze statuette probably representing the God Atlas, kneeling on a circular base with arms raised towards the sky (he probably once held the celestial sphere between his hands), with very fine detail and a superb light green patina, very attractive.
Roman Empire
Dimension: 69 x 47 x 47 mm
Dating: 1st century A.D.
Provenance: Private Belgian Collection
Condition: Excellent state, light green patina and very fine details, missing the right forearm, white concretion under the base.
