Description from the seller

In this work, IRIS depicts childhood as a suspended, delicate, and poetic space, where fragility and wonder coexist harmoniously. The figure of the girl, portrayed with utmost sensitivity in a blue dress that emerges strongly from a vibrant background of yellows and reds, conveys a sense of reserved innocence, almost shy.

The gaze directed downward and the composed posture suggest a silent, profound intimacy, while the shadow cast on the wall behind her transforms into a powerful metaphor of interiority: what remains hidden but constantly accompanies being. The dialogue between figure and shadow gives the work a symbolic dimension that surpasses mere realistic representation.

The geometric structure of the background, built through clear and tactile chromatic patches, creates a refined contrast with the soft and natural rendering of the child's body. A subtle balance emerges between abstraction and figuration, a distinctive feature of IRIS's painterly research.

Within its production, this work is shaped as a sensitive and intense homage to the world of childhood and its ability to evoke universal memories: a moment of sweet melancholy in which every observer can see themselves and find a part of their own.

The work is an oil on canvas painting created in 2025 and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The canvas is signed, dated, and titled on the back. The depicted image serves an illustrative purpose and allows viewers to appreciate the visual impact of the work within the architectural space.

In all of the artist's production, only materials of the highest quality, carefully selected, have been used. Each piece is unique, entirely hand-painted.

To ensure maximum protection during transport, the work is shipped flat, inside professional and secure packaging, accompanied by a photograph authenticated by the artist. It is recommended to unroll it immediately upon receipt to best preserve its integrity.
