An original 70 x 100 cm acrylic painting by E. García titled LA CENA XL (NO RESERVE), signed by hand and offered directly from the artist, created in 2025 and depicting a vibrant still life in fauvist style with a multicolour palette.
Description from the seller
The dinner is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This painting is a vibrant, domestic still life, where everyday objects become silent protagonists of a shared ritual. On a table covered with a cloth of green and white stripes, citrus fruits — lemons, oranges, and an open grapefruit — are arranged, bringing freshness and an almost tactile sense of acidity and aroma. Their yellows and reds dialogue with the pink background, creating a warm and luminous contrast.
In the center, a dark bottle rises as the vertical axis of the composition, flanked by two tall glasses filled with a golden liquid that suggests celebration, pause, and conversation. Around it, the food reinforces the scene's intimacy: a golden croissant, a plate with a fried egg with an intense yolk, a small bowl of olives, and a glass of water that adds transparency and visual rest.
The brushstroke is loose and expressive, not aiming for realistic detail but rather the emotion of color and the harmony of the whole. Everything seems arranged naturally, as if the dinner has just started or is about to be shared. The work conveys a sense of calm, pleasure, and simplicity: the enjoyment of everyday life elevated to a pictorial moment full of light, color, and presence.
