If an item exceeds the specified size or weight, it may be shipped in multiple packages. ----- Kato Masami (1925-2012) She was born on June 16th, 1925, as the eldest daughter of Sato Tamio in Ichisako, Miyagi Prefecture. She married Kato Shinichi, an employee of the Japanese National Railways in Naruko. After her husband Shinichi retired, he began making kokeshi dolls under the guidance of Onuma Jun in Naruko, so Masami also began painting and coloring kokeshi dolls around 1980, and began producing kokeshi dolls under the name Kato Masami. The woodwork was made by her husband Shinichi. She passed away on December 19th, 2012, at the age of 88 according to the traditional Japanese age reckoning system. Kato Masami (1925-2012)
