The frame is cast bronze and richly decorated with: • A full-length Harlequin forming the handle • A cherub / putto supporting the lower frame • A crescent moon with expressive face on the right side • Decorative floral motifs surrounding the mirror border These theatrical and celestial motifs are typical of late 19th to early 20th-century French and German decorative metalwork, often sold as boudoir or vanity objects.
