Ancient Egyptian Late Period faience shabti, about 10 cm high, in excellent condition, wearing a tripartite wig and beard and holding a pick and hoe with a basket at the back, dating to the 26th–30th Dynasty (c. 664–343 B.C.), with display stand and certificate of authenticity, acquired from the United Kingdom in 2020 from the Bodo Bleß collection via Bonham’s, Berlin provenance, legally exported.

The primary function of shabtis was to act as labourers for the deceased in the Field of Reeds, a heavenly paradise where the deceased continued their existence.
