Beautiful antique brass microscope, made by Charles Verick, a renowned Parisian manufacturer of scientific instruments in the 19th century, a student of Vincent Chevalier, a major figure in French optics.
The microscope rests on a weighted circular base, with a central column, articulated arm, stage, adjustable mirror, and detachable optical tube. The entire assembly displays a beautiful original patina, attesting to its authenticity.
The instrument is accompanied by its original mahogany case, which includes internal compartments and several optical accessories (lenses/eyepieces visible in the photos). The case shows normal signs of use and aging, without any structural fragility.
