ACCA MS-61, 1897FZ/Zs Mexico 8 Reales In the 16th century, the Spanish discovered silver mines in Mexico and other colonies in the Americas and minted Spanish silver coins and Mexican silver coins, also known as "eagle dollars." After Mexico gained independence in 1821, it minted 8 Reales silver coins, which were circulated worldwide and became one of the most representative trade silver coins. Following Mexico's independence, the country gradually began minting its own silver coins, which, after 1854, flowed massively into the Qing Dynasty. Thus, in China, they were called "eagle dollars" (later corrupted to "yingyang") in contrast to Spain's "peso de ocho." Starting in 1866, the design of Mexican silver coins changed from the eagle motif to the portrait of Emperor Maximilian I, but this led to many coins being rejected in the Qing Dynasty. In the 1910s, Mexican eagle silver coins competed with Spanish silver pesos and, through trade, became popular across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, once occupying up to 30% of the Chinese silver market. * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer *I don't accept a negative rating for the reason that a guest has to pay taxes to their own country, * For more information, please check the ACCA official website * If you are still bidding in the store, you can tell me to send it later. * For guests from Italy 、Netherlandsand Portugal, please note that it usually takes a long time for package delivery to Italy and Portugal, especially Netherlands,so please be patient or consider providing me with an address in another country Thank you and good luck!
