Interesting facts:
Hendrik-Jan Neuland was born in the Dutch province of Overijssel. During his academic training, he made his first contacts with the last representatives of the 'Haag'schen Schule'—a community of artists that has exerted a significant influence on the Dutch art world since the end of the 19th century. Neuland's paintings are entirely influenced by the style of these artists. He achieved great success with exhibitions in the Netherlands, Germany, and Scandinavia.
"Art only comes into being in the eyes and hearts of the individual viewers. For it is not the inspiration, the creative spirit, the creativity or the impulsiveness of the artist that truly reaches them, but only what they want to see, sense, feel or invent when they look at it."
