Shanghaied Mickey Mouse Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934) In this Burt Gillett-directed animated short, released on January 13, 1934, Mickey and Minnie Mouse have been captured and held hostage on Peg Leg Pete's pirate ship. When Pete tries to kiss Minnie, she kicks him, prompting Mickey to break free of his ropes, grab a swordfish, and challenge him. In this original animation drawing, we see Mickey as he takes the swordfish off of the wall, appearing at about the 2:34 timestamp. Normal age-related toning can be seen on the drawing. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.
