Nikon FM2 N black | Analogue camera

Selling this beautiful Nikon FM2n with the desirable titanium honeycomb shutter capable of 1/4000s.
This is the updated FM2n, introduced in 1984, featuring the refined shutter design and improved reliability over the earlier aluminum-shutter FM2 models.

The camera has been film-tested and working. I’m also including a fresh set of light seals for anyone who wants to install them later.

Cosmetically, the body shows a lovely patina on the film advance lever and baseplate, the kind of wear that comes from decades of careful use, not abuse.

Interesting details about the Nikon FM2n:

It was one of the fastest fully mechanical 35mm SLRs ever made, with shutter speeds from 1s to 1/4000s and a 1/250s flash sync (exceptionally high for its era).

The titanium honeycomb shutter blades were engineered for strength and speed while remaining extremely light.

The camera is entirely mechanical, it works at all shutter speeds without batteries; the battery only powers the light meter.

FM2n was a favorite among photojournalists and adventure photographers who needed reliability in extreme conditions.

Uses the classic Nikon F-mount, compatible with virtually all AI and AI-S lenses.
