Flip clock - Sankyo - Plastic - 1970-1980

This is a vintage flip clock (so-called “Pata-Pata Clock”) produced by Sankyo, a well-known Japanese manufacturer of clocks and precision devices. The model is Sankyo Digital Clock, Model No. 612Z, finished in a striking red case that strongly reflects the mid-20th-century Japanese design aesthetic.

The clock features a mechanical flip display with bold yellow numerals on a black background, offering excellent readability and a nostalgic visual rhythm as the numbers flip. A rotary adjustment knob is located on the side, and the clock is powered by AC 100V electricity 50-60Hz, typical of domestic Japanese clocks of the period.
