Revox B77 – Automation module 'Alternativ Control' (A/B Auto Start System) – New
Extremely rare part associated with the Revox B77 tape recorder.
This is an external automation module designed to control two B77 units through automatic switching: when one machine stops due to the end of tape or a control signal, this device activates the second one in PLAY or REC mode, depending on the position of the front panel selector.
This type of automation systems was used in professional and semi-professional environments: museums, local radio stations, analog duplication, continuous playback installations, or industrial systems where A/B operation was required without operator intervention.
Unlike usual remote controls, this module incorporates switching logic and double connections, allowing for sequential management of two tape recorders.
