Stauffer & Cie – Geneva - Key puller pocket watch - 53388 - 1850-1900

Stauffer & Cie – Geneva – Antique Pocket Watch – ca. late 19th / early 20th century Beautiful antique Swiss pocket watch signed Stauffer & Cie, Genève, a well-known Geneva firm active in the late 19th and early 20th century, closely associated with high-quality Swiss watchmaking. The watch features a white enamel dial with elegant black Roman numerals, original blued steel hands, and a subsidiary small seconds at 6 o’clock. The dial is signed “Stauffer & Cie – Genève” and has a classic, well-balanced design typical of the period. The movement is a mechanical hand-wound Swiss movement, visible in the photos, with finely engraved bridges and decorative details. The movement shows traditional Geneva-style finishing for watches of this quality class. The watch winds and runs, but as with all antique watches, timekeeping accuracy has not been tested over a long period and a service is recommended for regular use. The case appears to be metal (likely silver or silver-plated; no guarantee of precious metal without hallmarks) and shows honest age-related wear consistent with its age. The inside of the case bears a stamped serial number (53388, visible in photos). Original bow and crown are present. Condition: Dial: very good, light age patina Case: signs of wear, scratches, and patina consistent with age Movement: running at time of listing No cracks visible on the enamel dial Diameter: 59mm Origin: Switzerland Period: late 1800s – early 1900s A fine and authentic antique pocket watch, ideal for collectors of Swiss horology or as a classic display piece. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking
