Description from the seller
Oil painting. Unique work. Handmade canvas, oil and acrylic paint. Delivered on a frame. 60x60 cm.
In a nocturnal street bathed in artificial light, a woman in a red dress slowly walks away, leaving behind a parked car like a silent witness. The scene, seen from behind, enhances the feeling of distance and irreversibility: something has just ended, or is about to.
The red bodywork, shining under the streetlights, acts as a chromatic echo to the female silhouette, linking the character to the object, to memory, to the interrupted movement. The illuminated facades, the reflections on the wet pavement, and the stretched urban perspective create a film noir atmosphere, where silence weighs more than words.
Le Yack captures here a suspended moment, charged with emotional tension and melancholy. Inspired by American realism and the cinematic imagination of the 40s–50s, this work invites the viewer to imagine the invisible story unfolding off-screen: a departure, a rupture, or perhaps just an inner decision.
The artist Le Yack's style is a bold blend of pop art, street art, and classical and modern painting. He uses his graphic tablet to create unique visual worlds by merging various digital resources and exploring a range of artistic techniques (Photoshop software, drawing on Procreate, and different royalty-free image resources and AI).
Le Yack, an emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he attended the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. He is an art director in publishing and web. Instagram @leyack45. His work is exhibited in a network of about forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, and the United States.
Inspired by classical and modern painting, Le Yack brings a contemporary perspective to his creations by incorporating iconic elements of pop and urban culture. His works are characterized by vivid colors, dynamic shapes, and expressive compositions.
The artist also explores different forms of artistic production. Some of his works are reproduced in series on stretched canvases, thus creating limited editions accessible to a wider audience. Other works are created as unique paintings on canvas, adding an exclusive and authentic dimension to his collection.
Le Yack's style reflects a fusion of traditional art and the endless possibilities offered by digital technology. His innovative approach and skillful use of digital resources allow him to create original works that captivate the eye and invite reflection.
