Description from the seller

Elegant wall mirror executed in Louis XV / Rococo style, made in Italy in the 20th century. The graceful, asymmetrical silhouette and refined ornamentation are inspired by the French Louis XV tradition, as often applied in Italian decorative objects from this period.

The frame consists of a supporting base (probably wood or wood composite), finished with gilded decorative ornaments in composition (gesso). This technique was frequently used in Italian mirrors and moldings and allows for the creation of detailed shapes. The existing patina, slight wear, and small edge damages are consistent with age and use.

On the mirror glass, there is an original sticker with the inscription 'Dorato alla foglia,' which literally means 'gilded with gold leaf.' This designation was used in Italy to indicate that the object is finished with gold leaf gilding and serves as an additional clue to its original finish and origin. The sticker contributes to the authenticity and character of the piece.

The mirror is fitted with original mirror glass, with light signs of age appropriate for a decorative object of this age, without disturbing damages.
