It is typical that all covers are in color, while professionals at the time mainly photographed in black and white.
Leica published magazines annually about Leica photography. These mainly featured photos, but also camera techniques and, of course, Leica camera equipment. They also served as a good reference source, as new equipment was often announced in Leica Photography, in every issue. Each edition introduced a master photographer with Leica.
The magazines provide an excellent picture of the state of photography at that time. But also of what was happening in the world.
