Description from the seller
Due to the end of my collection: a beautiful Polaroid Highlander 80A, a classic instant camera from the 1950s. This model is known for its robust build, timeless design, and its special place in the history of photography. The camera was produced from 1954 to 1957 and is made of metal with a leather finish. The Polaroid Highlander 80A is inextricably linked to Edwin Herbert Land (1909–1991), the visionary founder of the Polaroid Corporation. Land was an American inventor and scientist best known for his invention of the instant photography process. The Highlander series represents the pinnacle of Polaroid craftsmanship in the analog era. In 1948, he introduced the first Polaroid Land Camera, which made photos visible within minutes—a revolutionary concept at the time. The camera was designed for Polaroid roll film, although this is no longer produced. It is a popular collectible for vintage camera enthusiasts and those interested in design and photography history. The offered camera is in good condition; whether it is operational is unknown, as the roll film is no longer manufactured. Photos are included as part of the description.
