RARE!!! The Craiova Medal (Medalia Craiova), issued in 1912 in memory of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878. The Romanian inscription reads: "IN AMINTIREA RAZBOIULUI DIN 1877-1878 1912 CRAIOVA," which translates as "In memory of the 1877–1878 1912 Craiova War." The obverse of the medal depicts a monument dedicated to the Romanian War of Independence. The medal was minted to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the outbreak of the war.
