Jewellery box - Silverplated

Art Nouveau silver-plated jewellery box, early 20th century (circa 1930–1940).
Decorative square jewellery box with a hinged lid, richly decorated with deep relief floral and foliate motifs characteristic of late Art Nouveau / early Art Deco transitional design. The sculptural ornamentation and balanced proportions give the piece a strong visual presence despite its compact size.
The box is silver-plated. No clearly legible silver hallmark could be confirmed; therefore, the piece is offered as silver-plated in accordance with best auction practice. The surface shows an attractive natural patina, consistent with age and use.
The lid opens and closes properly. Interior shows authentic signs of age. Minor wear and surface marks are present, appropriate for an object of this period and use.
