Laurent Anastay Ponsolle - Primal

"Primal" was created for a contest organized by the Villa Seurat Foundation, with the theme 'nature reclaims its rights.' Since its presentation, the artist decided to have the work laminated to give it more presence and strength. (It is a painting.)

Recently, the work was exhibited at Beaubourg as part of the day dedicated to French creation. (see the last photo in situ)

To respond to this project, Laurent Anastay Ponsolle chose to question the relationship between Humans and Animals, the secret bond that brings us closer to Animals and unites us as living beings on the same planet.

Thus, 'PRIMAL' questions the animal within us in an almost organic way: 'Naturally, Nature led me to the Animal.' Here, we encounter the Beast, but also the Pack, Instinct, Flesh—and often find a mirror in them. We examine how Nature reasserts its rights over Civilization. Raw, too. Direct, sometimes crude. Devoid of morality, exempt from any notion of good or evil.
