**Seichour** A rare carpet from the north of Azerbaijan. Late 19th century, early 20th. **Dragons.** On an indigo blue field (a natural plant-based dye), we see three motifs depicting stylized dragons in a geometric manner. In the center, double pairs of wings, and from there outward-curving dragons. A triple border with stars and geometric shapes. Additionally, in four rectangles, we also find a pattern featuring double, mirrored dragons. A thin spot on the ‘wings’ in the center, further in excellent condition considering its age. The connoisseur hangs a carpet like this proudly on a wall. ---
